At B1 you could state a position. At B2 you have to hold one while somebody argues back, and that turns on a single move: grant their point, then keep your own.
Italian sorts its concessives by mood, and the sorting is clean: one group always takes the congiuntivo, one group never does. There is also a third way that uses no conjunction at all.
